What we are building, and what we are looking for

Omsio Care Systems builds and sells software to Swedish social care providers. This page is for investors, advisors and anyone who can open a door in the sector.

The pressure the sector is under

    26 300
children and young people in round-the-clock care in Sweden
    39 of 929
homes banned or closed in eighteen months
    1 in 3
homes with failings in background checks before hiring

The most common failing is administrative. A provider loses its licence over paperwork that could have been in order.

The backbone under a licensed operation

We keep the case files, journals, routines and background checks in one place. Being ready for an inspection becomes the system's normal state. A provider who can answer the inspectorate in an afternoon spends the rest of the week on its clients.

    The model

Omsio is vertical software, built for one industry end to end. The six products follow a care provider's work from the placement and the journal to routines, staff training, schedules and the drive out to a foster home, and all of them are built around what IVO inspects.

Software like this is rarely replaced. It rests on detailed knowledge of the workflow, on data that only exists in the industry, and on the regulation and inspection the providers work under. Once a provider's client files, journals and quality system live in Omsio, leaving means moving every record about every client.

AI makes that position stronger. A thin, generic tool is easy to replace with a general AI service. The system an industry is inspected on is much harder to replace. Much of a consultant's week also goes to documentation, and that time costs more than the software. That is where the AI assistant Lisa, an AI add-on, works, helping staff with journal notes and period reports.

    The market we serve

Sweden has about 14,900 private care companies, most of them in healthcare. Our customers are the privately held care providers licensed by the health and social care inspectorate (IVO): consultant-supported foster care, residential care (HVB), supported housing and outpatient care for children, young people and adults, on behalf of municipalities. Next come LSS housing and daily activities, personal assistance, and the 290 municipalities, which can buy Omsio Akademi and Omsio Ledningssystem directly without a long procurement.

    How the business works

Omsio is six products, each priced on its own. A provider typically starts with Verksamhetssystem, Akademi or Ledningssystem and adds the rest over time. Contract value per provider grows with each product added, up to about SEK 85,000 to 92,000 a year for all six, at list price. A package pays one base fee, and the other products' usage fees are discounted 10 to 25 percent.

Verksamhetssystem is priced by what the provider runs: per placement in foster care, per unit for HVB, supported housing, outpatient care, LSS housing and daily activities, and per client in personal assistance. Users are unlimited, so a provider never has to choose between giving a consultant access and keeping the cost down. Client files, journals and the quality system are what a provider has to produce when the inspectorate comes, and every product uses them.

    The market in figures

    ≈ 950
providers we sell to today: 250 in foster care, about 400 running HVB and supported housing for children and young people, and about 300 for adults
    ≈ 84 MSEK
a year if those providers used all six products
    ≈ 392 MSEK
a year in Sweden with LSS, personal assistance, municipalities and private elderly care included

Omsio's own bottom-up calculation: number of providers × the list price of the package. Sources for the counts: IVO's licence register (foster care, July 2026), IVO, February 2026 (HVB and supported housing for children and young people), Assistanskoll (personal assistance), Vårdföretagarna, Privat vårdfakta 2025 (private care companies). Adult HVB, LSS and elderly care are estimates.

    Self-funded

Everything in daily use today was built and paid for out of our own pocket: multi-tenant architecture, BankID, GDPR compliance, apps for iOS and Android and a guided onboarding portal for new customers. No outside capital has gone into it.

    What we are looking for

    Capital to move faster

Sales, onboarding, engineering and ISO 27001 certification. We know the order we want to hire in and what each hire unlocks.

    Relationships that open doors

Contacts are everything in this sector. A warm introduction from someone a manager already trusts does in a day what cold outreach does in weeks. We want people who open those doors, and we open ours in return.

    More perspectives from the industry

We build against a regulation that keeps moving, and the standard in this sector should keep rising with it. The people who run these operations every day can see what the next version of that standard looks like. We want them close to the product.

Someone who has scaled Nordic B2B SaaS

The right relationships, the pattern for scaling, and a clear view of what to avoid. Tempo matters here, and it can never come at the cost of the service quality our customers are inspected on.
